The 5 Drivers of Leadership Success ~ Self Direction

Taking initiative is an essential key to taking ownership of your own destiny. Being a leader requires you to have the ability to assess and start things independently. A good leader develops the confidence to pioneer and launch their desires into action. Intend to have the power to act. Take opportunities to take charge before others do.

In order to become a successful leader you must finesse your ability to an act or strategy intended to resolve a difficulty or improve a situation. If you are not prepared to do then you are deemed to be a bystander to someone else's vision and desires. YOU must be the one to create a fresh approach to a situation in order to positively impact it in your favor. You want to be the first to develop and implement a new method, YOUR new method - don't leave your destiny in the hands of others.

In order to direct yourself, you must first understand that your experiences shape your  values and beliefs about leading yourself as well as others. As you develop, your values and beliefs directly impact your leadership style and subsequently create the space or environment in which you lead.

If you are not satisfied with the environment in your business, family or relationships; you must first examine your current values and belief system. You must take a critical look at your experience and note how they have impeded on those systems in your life. Once you have done so you will have the ability to develop greater leadership skills.
